Thanks for visiting!  Okay, so a little about us...

I have always loved Dobermans! As a child, I always had the smaller breeds that my Mom picked out. But, I always admired and wanted a Doberman.   I got my first Doberman in 1980, when my children were very young. He was a gentle, loyal, and very loving black male named Caesar.   He was always close by, keeping an eye on the kids and making sure they didn’t get too close to the stairway. If they did, he would get in between the child and the stairs and block the stairway. Somehow he knew that they might fall. He was so good with kids that he became the neighborhood dog. The kids would go out to play and come home without him. I would then start calling my neighbors to see which house he was in! He had a favorite spot in everyone’s house. He loved everyone and everyone loved him. Caesar lived to be 12 years old.

   From then on, we had Dobermans around. Two of our children are grown and out of the house, but we have a nine year-old and three Dobermans today.

   We have only been showing Dobermans for about 6 years now. We bought our foundation bitch from Becky Norton, Karmabeck Dobermans. Solo is a wonderful red standard bitch. She is really gorgeous and has a ring presence “to-die-for”! She finished at 14 months and is a multi BOB, BPIS, and AOM bitch. She got her first Best In Show Puppy at just 7 months. As much as she loves being in the ring, she only specialed for a short time because she was too spoiled to stay away from her family long-term. Of course, our dogs let us sleep in their bed too!

   We also have a 4 year old spayed female Dobe named Tira. She came from Four Winds Kennel. She is like a “mother” to all the others. She makes sure everything goes smooth each day. The 2 girls are the first ones to bed every night!

   In 2006, we bought a red male puppy from Philip Martin (Phillmar Dobermans). Rach Monster is by BIS BISS CH Eastwick’s Meadow Monster out of BIS BISS CH Phillmar Thunderella CD. He is absolutely a “dog’s dog”! He is awesome. He finished at only 10 months and on the same day, got BOS and Best In Show Puppy. He has multi Best Puppy and Best Puppy in Sweeps. He is currently working on his CD and still not even a year old! Look for him this year at the nationals in Futurity and the Breed.

   We have a small Dobe family compared to some, but our dogs live in our house, go with us everywhere and are part of our family. They have 5 acres to run and play on. When our friends visit, they bring their dogs too. My husband sometimes complains that the dogs have top priority around our house. And guess what? They really do!  We love all dogs, but only Dobermans live at our house!
